Troika Systems Ltd. has scooped an innovation award at the Stationers’ Company Innovation Excellence Awards 2016. The company, which designs and develops a range of quality control 3D measurement systems for the flexo and gravure printing industries, was recognized for its AniCAM 3D scanning microscope at an event held at Stationers’ Hall, London.

Phil Hall, managing director at Troika, says, “It is always a great pleasure for the company to be recognized by the judges for providing top quality solutions to the print market. We are immensely proud to have collected several awards this year. These awards recognize the importance of our technology in today’s highly competitive print industry.”

According to Troika, the AniCAM and its associated QC applications has set new standards in the measuring of anilox rolls, gravure cylinders and flexographic plates, with a solution that ensures the rolls, cylinders or plates are in optimum condition to minimize waste and improve production efficiencies.

In its third year, the awards attracted 49 entries from the printing machinery, consumables, office supplies, publishing, digital media and packaging sectors. Troika were one of six winners who picked up a coveted award.

The Master of the Stationers’ Company, Helen Esmonde, praised the innovative skills of all companies entering the awards programme and congratulated the winners on their success: “The key to future prosperity is to be flexible, adaptable and to present and communicate content across multi-platforms. For those companies involved in manufacturing and production, the challenge is to seek ways to harness and develop new technology to deliver better value for money in the shortest possible time. The Stationers’ Company award win further builds on the success Troika experienced earlier this year, when the company won an award at the European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) annual print awards.
